I took this photo because I have a deep appreciation of the look of metal and contemporary architecture and objects. I love being in the city especially NYC and this photo reminded me of my second home. The shapes being created by not only the bigger holes of the fence but also the small spaces in between it. Also there is a transition of color shown by the fence and the sky in the background. To take this photo I had the camera set to a 1/500 shutter speed and a f-stop of 5.6.

This photo was taken for the favorite person assignment. What I like about this photo is it's not only of my girlfriend but the way one side of her face is completely darkened and the other has a fair amount of light hitting it. My point of view was from her left zoomed in. The photo follows the rule of thirds because her face is not centered with the lines.

In this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is the tire tracks made by the use of this path from trucks and ATVs. There is also a puddle of water seen in the middle of the dirt road. When I edited this photo I adjusted the color by changing it to greyscale and the brightness and contrast. My camera was set to 1800 ISO and a 4.5 f-stop. This photo makes me think of The Beatles song "The Long and Winding Road".

This photo was taken for the Studio Portrait assignment. I like this photo because of the portrayal of mystery and sadness. My point of view is about a foot away from his right side. The photo follows the rule of thirds because he is facing the bottom left of the photo. The ISO is 800. Cody in person is a very fun and upbeat person. But in ever person there is an amount of vulnerability and sadness within. I feel that this photo unintentionally captured the darkness within a person.

When I was younger, I always had a dream of being able to have life-size versions of my action figures and toy cars. Personally I feel that the photo brings out my inner child because the toy car appears to be the size of an actual car. The 5.6 f-stop focuses directly on the front of the car and fades the rest of the car in the back.
